Set and Stage Crew is one of the most flexible extra-curricular activities we have at Lakeview. It's perfect for students that want to be a part of the musical, but can't commit the time to being in the cast.
The crew has different jobs that are busy at different times:
The following jobs are busier now. These people may also take other jobs listed below.
• Set design and drawing crew will help come up with the set concepts, will draw them on the flats, paint the fine details and create any other stage signage/art.
• Set construction/painting crew will assemble sets and big stage props, will paint the large areas of the flats and large stage props. *Students may do both!
The following jobs get busier as rehearsals get closer to the performance.
*These people MUST be available during the two weeks prior to our performances.
• Sound techs are responsible for running music and getting sound equipment put away for rehearsals. They’re also responsible for any sound effects during the performances.
• Light techs are responsible for stage lighting during rehearsals and performances. This includes set up and break down.
• Prop masters are responsible for organizing, distributing and storing all props used in rehearsals and performances.
• Costume masters are responsible for organizing costumes and helping with the distribution and changing of costumes when needed during rehearsals and performances.
• Make up masters will assist teacher and parent volunteers with cast make up during dress rehearsals and performances.
• Staging Crew members are responsible for moving the flats and large stage props during rehearsals and performances. These people will be on stage and MUST be available during the last two weeks of rehearsals and for the performances.
Rehearsals are held Monday-Friday from 3:00- 5:00 pm. All crew members will not need to attend every day, however, each week the schedule is different. Open availability is important.
Tech week begins The first week of May. Students will rehearse almost every day !!!
The Musical will be performed on May 13 & 14, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
